At the very core of pranic healing is prana which translates to “life force”, deriving from the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit. Every living thing has this universal life force. It is the very essence of our being. According to the practises of pranic healing an individual can tap into their life force or inner energy to accelerate the body’s own healing capabilities.
This “non touch” form of energy healing can be used to treat physical pains and conditions, mental illness and your overall emotional well being.
What is Prana?
Prana is also known as chi in the Chinese language or ki in the Japanese language. It is the basis of pranic healing and it goes far beyond the physical body. Prana is the entire life force or energy holding everything together. It exists all around us and flows through every living thing, plants, animals and even the environment (the sun, earth, sky).
It is the work of pranic healing practitioners to strengthen and harmonise the life force in order to generate and maintain a state of health and vitality.
The Founder of Modern Pranic Healing
The modern version of pranic healing was developed by a Grand Master Choa Kok Sui who was often referred to as a “scientist of the soul” by his disciples. Master Choa left the confines of being a wealthy businessman behind to dedicate years of his life to rediscover the art of ancient pranic healing.
Through many experiments and evidence-based research pranic healing was recognised.
Modern pranic healing was first introduced to South East Asia through Choa Kok Sui’s writings in “Miracles Through Pranic Healing” in 1988 and then spread to the rest of the world.
“Healing is active meditation. Healing is meditation in motion.
“By increasing the natural energy level of the body, healing is accelerated.” (Choa Kok Sui)
How Pranic Healing Works
Pranic healing works alongside traditional medicines and treatments. It is by no means a replacement for healing methods but can be used alone. Pranic healing targets the acceleration of the body’s healing abilities at all levels, be that mental, emotional, physical or spiritual.
The practise utilises prana to balance the body’s energy. Pranic healing practitioners transfer this universal life force to the patient using specific techniques, resulting in the cleansing of all bad energy from the body.
Pranic healing is a three step process which involves:
- Checking (Scanning for energy abnormalities)
- Cleansing (Removing energy abnormalities)
- Energising (Replenishing and revitalising with life force)
